For newer devices with a built-in compass: this app uses the more accurate hardware to improve the existing compass and map apps on your device by allowing you to see the direction you are facing directly on the map while keeping the top of the map facing north. In other words, the directional cone on the map will rotate, not the map itself, if you like. In addition, you can now easily switch back and forth between the compass and map without exiting and launching multiple apps. Please note, this app is made to work with the GPS capabilities of the iPhone 3G or 3GS. Models without GPS will probably not work. Models with GPS but without a compass will need to be moving in order for your heading to be determined.
